In our part of the country we have three different companies with wind farms. The oldest of those farms are currently repowering with bigger generators and blades. The contracts are written to include leasing the ground and roads plus a percentage of what the generators produce. I won't say what the owners get paid a year but I have several friends that have several towers on their property and now farming is a hobby for them.
