I am a 5th generation native of CO and was a CO resident for more than 50 years. Work has taken me to TX. It pains me to say that CO has priced me out of hunting there again. To force me to buy an overpriced small game license just to apply for an elk or deer tag is uncalled for. I cannot use the small game license if I don't draw the elk or deer tag so this is basically a charge of over $80 for the privilege of applying. Sorry but I can spend my money here in TX better. Heck I can do a cow elk or red deer hind hunt in TX for less than the price of the cow elk tag in CO now. My native state has been ruined.
