I must admit I don't know the particulars of the case so I don't feel compelled to pass judgement but I must ask the question; what was top secret about Russian meddling?

In a lot of cases the information itself may not be very important. However, the fact that we were able to obtain it can be highly classified, because it can reveal the means by which we obtained it.

Assuming the "Medical Center" is some manner of psychiatric facility, are the allowed to keep her indefinitely (more adjudication of course) until they believe she no longer poses a threat to herself or anyone else?

She could be there as a cadre'. That's an inmate in a higher level institution or specialized facility who is there to perform functions like sanitation or kitchen.
