3-9 Burris Fullfield II w/ballistic plex reticle or Leupld 3.5-10 w/Boone & Crockett reticle or 6x SWFA classic mil quad
For a max range of 450 yards I'm not sure that "good" glass is gonna be a game changer for you. It wouldn't matter much for me.

Something with a 2.5 - 4x on the low end and 12 - 16x on the high end.

I am very pleased with the Leupold VX5 3-15 HD CDS with fire dot. Now I can find the center of the crosshairs on a hog in dim light.

Zeiss V4, 4-16 or 6-24 if you’re a turret twister and 3-12 if you’re not and prefer capped elevation

I would certainly not spend 1200 dollars on a scope manufacturer that may not be in business in the foreseeable future.
