The boxes from 48" and longer led and florescent lights work well too. And your gun comes cleverly disguised as a new shop light.

I have been buying cheap gun cases on line from Amazon or Walmart. They run under $20 shipped and come in their own cardboard box. Put the gun in the case and the case in the box, pull the old shipping label off or tape over it and you have an excellent shipping container that's almost bulletproof. I've shipped a bunch of higher end guns that way and never had one damaged.

Order a cheap plastic case from Amazon. They ship it to you in a perfect size box. Put the gun in the case, zip tie case shut, back in the box, tape it up and ship it. This, too. I will break down the long gun and order a shorter case.
