Wonder if part of this market turmoil is it attempting to also price in the possibility of Breadline Bernie becoming the commie nominee for POTUS in addition to the Chinese bug? It sorta started after he won last week.

Our stocks are worth 30k less than they were 4 days ago. I'd'say they are suceeding. Where are they from a year ago???

Our stocks are worth 30k less than they were 4 days ago. I'd'say they are suceeding. Similar here - 401k is down $37k from a few days ago... Do you believe your portfolio value would even be what is today if we were in a Clinton first term???

The chi-coms are in on this too, making a virus that kills 3K people seem like a calamity. That's an average death rate for them in a 3 hour window on a Thursday afternoon.
They have the same objectives as the democrats. There's a lot of interests pointed against America.

What goes down, will go up. This is perfect for Trump, as the markets will be "rebounding" around the world by the summer/early fall.
COVID19 is a dangerous virus with dangerous effects. The market is simply adjusting to that reality. The market fluctuation is no reason for panic on the part of smart conservatives (i.e. Campfire members), who seem to be just as panicky as the Dems lately.
Recognizing the seriousness of COVID19 should not be equated with socialism. One's chosen response to that seriousness can be conservative or communistic. Choose the right attitude!

The corona virus chaos is temporary. Breaks in production will resume, or other sources will supply goods. I think things will be delayed or shifted, but over time not real loss.
Medical stocks should be up, face masks sold out, etc. So there are positive financial outcomes, even in a crisis. "over time" is killing us older investors with very moderate resources! There's not much "over time" left for many of us who need income from investments to get by. If you are that close to using the investments, you should be much safer IE out of the market.....
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Well they have been trying to crash the market but it will also work against them. Those of us who bought low and sold high will hold out till Trump wins again and I'll buy the crap of all the shares I can and ride the new wave and in due time Trump will be the savior of the world by finding a vaccine for the coronavirus and he'll be "winning" again!

The DOW (and other markets) has taken a few heavy body blows this week, but it's still over 7000 points higher than it was on election day 2016. I am getting concerned, though . . . not worried yet, but concerned. At this point, all we little people can do is vote and hang on?
