Here are my last 2 entries for the the wood stock hunting rifle porno catagory
Up until the last couple years, I pretty much ascribed to the bromide.......
Matthew Quigley: I said I didn't have much use for one. Didn't say I didn't know how to use it.
I don't care for the way they ride the bags, nor the way they carry or their balance in the hand, but when it comes to being handy to throw a bunch of lead down range they are handy, not to mention accurate.
One of the last to come out of the Winchester Custom Shop in Ct. 338...
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
Geedubya Nice AR collection man!!!!! I'm gonna get a long rifle A2 in the future. Kinda fell outta love with the platform for awhile. But I'm feeling the Itch again. Sold one I had about 3 or 4 yrs ago. M4 clone I put together. Took me about 8 yrs when I retired outta the Infantry in 08 to get one. But I have had 2 AK,s and a AKM since 08 also. Got an itch for AES 10B / RPK kinda also.
We can put up shotguns????!!!! My new to me one is not a high end one by far. But they run reliable. Had a syn stock one 2 or 3 years ago. I got a smoking deal on this mossberg 930 at a mom and pop pawnshop in Dover Tn yesterday for 190 bucks OTD. Made a post yesterday on the gen forum about it.
pics and light dont do the wood justice. Gonna get the craptastic factory finish off it and get the tru oil on it after turkey season. Then the grain in that walnut will talk. It will work for a 2 to 3 week dove gun this year before deer season.
Beautiful firearms - ALL of them! I truly admire functional art. I’ll have to take the time to post some in the future but am sure enjoying looking at all of these ones!!
I have only seen one on Ft Campbell over the years. Probably 7-8 yrs ago. Used ta see sign of em in wallows and mud covered tree trunks every so often in certain areas.
Post had 3 or 4 USDA full time shooters penning em up all around the north and south impact boundary areas and killing the hell outta em. You would hear stories of em shooting em from blackhawks over the impact areas also. Also hear stories about task force 160th night stalkers in their little birds with mini guns helping out the USDA eradication guys. Knock out pigs and knock out some good air gunnery practice.
If a deer or turkey hunter shoots a pig on post they are required to bring it in for the biologist to check out. Aint heard of a pig being brought in for 3- 4 years.
