I have to watch myself at Popeye's.

from earlier this year:
Quote

I have to watch myself and not go so often. Years ago, they put in a Popeye's near where I was working. I'd go twice a week. The manager and I started having little chats. The next thing I knew she was throwing extra pieces in, which I thought was nice. I wasn't seeing the big picture; I'm a happily married guy. Then I got laid off. I was on unemployment and therefore didn't think I cold afford Popeye's for a while. I went to the one next to my house 15 months later, and there was the manager from the other store. I think she'd move there(over 25 miles) to be close to me, only I didn't show. She was not at all happy with me-- no more free pieces.

I'm not much of a chicken eater since we have a new processing plant and about 800 chicken houses to support it. But Popyes is better in every respect to me. Meat is better, sides are better, and the popyes bisquit is good.

Don't y'all have any Pollo Locos or Pollo Asada places there?

And Costco rotisserie chicken is way mo betta than any fast food fried stuff.

They’re heavy on the MSG. Know that.

I can eat both but like Popeye's.

If the KFC is hot then it is not bad.

It has to much grease to eat it cold and their gravy sucks.

The legs are darn good at a place around the state called Stripes.
They even have a sale going now 3 for 2.00.

Cheap eats.

Went to a Popeyes for my first time ever last week. They're not much of a thing up here.. few and far between.

So I figured let's start at the start. Gimme a some fried chiggin.
What do you want for a side?
What you got?
He points to a counter menu thing right in front of me.. duh!
Ok beans n rice.

Busier than fak in there so I went out to my car to eat it like the rest of the homeless people.

It wasn't bad. Not bad at all actually went for spicy wasn't too spicy but a bit of a bite to it. The big bonus is was that I could actually get fast food without fries, and I like me some beans and rice. The biscuit wasn't bad either. I'll go back again if I'm hungry and in the fast food mood. I'd say its better than KFC

I guess that'd keep your mind off the ground up peckers.
