I'm looking at a Sig P239 in 357 Sig on Gunbroker right now. I wish it was a two tone SAS but beggars can't be choosers. Why? Just because... Also, I'm on a "low capacity" binge.

A while back I thought I wanted a stainless muzzle loader, not cheap to shoot. In Iowa a straight case centerfire is legal for deer, so now it's a 357 lever,

My current desire is a Kimber in .243

Preferably an older Classic with decent wood. And of course affordable....

A Tikka .223, maybe a varmint model and stainless. If I was younger I would make up a stainless Tikka long action in 7mm WSM. But, I know I won't ever chase sheep again or do the interior mountain grizzly hunts with a good buddy and living for a week or more out of a back pack. I also don't see any western state hunting for elk and mule deer in my future. Woe is me.....

But, I do moose and caribou hunt every year with my wife of 45 years, made possible by Polaris ATV's. Moose seem to have gotten heavier every year and she is over 70 now and I'm close.

I am hoping to get a moose and bear with my new Mod. 71 Win. this year. That would make a great picture.

I recently acquired a Glock 43 which performs as expected. I am pretty sure that if I encountered a good light weight rifle in 6.0 or 6.5 Creed I would probably get weak and buy it. I fondled a Tikka T1x MT in 17 hmr yesterday at SW and am seriously tempted.

Good thread Wabi!!!
Something alot can relate too.

Some sort of A2 clone I'm thinking
Stag or a Saco made Windham .

Newest one was last saturday
Feild grade GP mossberg 930
Ran the snot outta it yesterday.
Ran like a champ.
Run 84 rds thru it getting it hot as fugg fast as I could reload.
The mods I did hollowing out that rock hard fugging butt pad did wonders for felt/perceived recoil also.
Pretty tedious project doing that and not altering it cosmetic appearance
Prob 9 hours over 2 days
Saved me 40 bucks from buying a limbsaver for it.
Get a feeling of satisfaction doing schitt.

Compared to the rounds I ran thru it prior to that mod.
Night and day difference

Detail cleaned it.
Put it up till after turkey season.
Work some tru oil magic on the black walnut
Forearm has 11 birds eyes in it.
Butt has some real nice slabbing and swirl grain highlights
The factory spray on finish is crap IMO.

A 870 Remington in 410.

I greased a starling during the lunch hour with my Mossberg 410.

I think it needs an understudy.
