Good morning folks. I sincerely hope this new day finds us well and in good spirits. I try real hard to not be a "The Sky Is Falling" kind of person, but I have to admit this virus has me thinking. My son just found out a business trip he had planned for a convention in Commiefornia has been cancelled The NBA shut down it's entire season for the foreseeable future last night. MLB is probably headed that way. Italy has basically closed it's doors. This is seriously scary stuff guys. I'm sure some will laugh at this, but please do what we can to protect ourselves. We've got a lot of older members here, some like me have health issues, which puts us in a high risk group. Consider not attending large public gatherings, and just do all we can to take care of ourselves.

The markets are sure shaky.

I’ve been avoiding crowds during the cold and flu season since way before it was “cool”.

When I go to the Mayo Clinic, pretty much everyone on that entire campus is wearing surgical masks (patients and family).

No one is walking around chiding people saying “hey moron, masks don’t help”

It's been declared a panic-demic by no lesser authority than CNN. I'm over 60 so I'll say goodby now. It's gonna get me. Don Lemom(head) says so. And I deserve death because I'm a racist for once calling it the Chinese virus, so says Ilhan Omar.

Actually I'm going about my business, avoiding unnecessary potential exposure, and otherwise staying healthy. Like eating a proper diet. Expect I'll be fine, pretty much what I do every year to avoid flu and nuisance colds..

So lessee, need to check my TP inventory today...

Our grandson has a school band concert tonight, we are planning on going.

Allergies have had me feeling like hammered dung since about the middle of January. This started about a year or two ago. In the past allergies were never an issue.

If I “stay home if you feel ill” I would not be able to get anything done. It would be like " you mean I had the corona virus all this time???? I thought I was suppose to feel like schidt!”

I'm 77, so I am in one of the most at-risk age groups.

We just returned from a week in California, where we attended a large party with folks who came in from as far away as the states of Washington, Florida, New York and some of the New England states.

We cruised the shopping centers in Carmel and strolled the beaches. We stayed at a B&B where we shared breakfast buffets in the morning with other visitors from God only knows where, but we did meet couples from England and Denmark. It looked like virtually all of the cars in the parking lot were rentals. In the evening, most of us were together again for wine and cheese on the deck overlooking the ocean.

On the way home, we spent a couple of days with friends in Bakersfield, and met their high school age grand daughter who had just returned from Italy because her school there sent most of the foreign students home.

Hey Ben! Sounds like y’all had a great time. Bad thing is I need to run to the grocery store this morning. One of the things I need is TP. Because we need TP. So now I’ll get thrown in and labeled as a hoarder. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We had the H1N1 flu in 2009 , killed 12k people here. More virulent then this one and yet nowhere near the panic . Go figure

The shelves at Sam's Club were bare the other day!
They were even low on the big rolls like I use in the shower house.
Sales lady told us the trucks come in every night - and they sell out early the next day.

I'd send you some, but the freight would be prohibitive !!!

I also got a tore up flannel sheet here. I’m either gonna cut it up for emergency AW or for gun cleaning patches. Either way something is gonna get wiped with em!!!

This one kills but is laterally mild compared to the pass flues.

Me and my bud drank a case of Coronas last night and today I don`t feel to good.Should I be worried?

Me, an' Bob made it through the panic of 01, 1901, we should weather this one, no sweat.

I told my wife I'm going to stop getting haircuts, hunt all our food, and become antisocial.

She said, "So what's changed?"

Ok, so who's going to ask the inevitable question?

Compared to some of you oldsters..................I'm young.


But Medicare WILL cover a ventilator, right? At my house preferably?

PS, Stocked up on some canned tomatoes last night. Got plenty of canned corn I think. TP was covered the other day. Need to get flour and rice today. Chicken food too. If needs be, maybe I can barter some eggs with a hoarder if we run out of TP.
