Any good premium 165 grain and up bullet in your 300 Win. will kill your bull nicely.
We usually put one in the lungs, and have them fall over in less then 50yards. Moose often run when hit, unless hit in the brain or spinal colum. Sometimes they just stand there looking at you after being hit. If wounded they often bed down within 150 yards or much less, even if wounded very lightly.
Since you are going to spend a lot of money to go that far up you might as well use one of the many bonded types, copper ones, or the partition.
Your standard bullet at high velocity tends to expand a bit too fast, bad on angle shots, or leg bone hits. Although standard bullets are just fine @ broadside rib shots.
A good 180 grainer will be more then enough. Just try a couple different ones locally available and pick the most accurate one in your rifle.
Do not loose sleep over it, and restrict your experimenting choice to 2 different ones, unless you enjoy playing around loading and wearing out your barrel. Keep it simple.
My Metis buddy in the NWT who has 300+ Moose, 300+ Buffalo, 120 blackies and 3000 Caribou to his name, has used for the last 15 years a 30-06 with 180 grain Nosler Partitions @ 2700 fps. for the big stuff and a .270 with 130 Sierras for the Caribou shot on community hunts for which he gets appointed.
I assume he knows what works by now.
I only shot 34 Moose in my life with a variety of calibers from .308Win. to 35 Whelen, and never found the Nosler Partition lacking in any aspect.
As they say there is more then one good way to skin a cat!!
