What about all the Fire's Truckers.

Very critical right now. Probably why we don't see any posting. Too busy keeping the stores full enough to keep the real panic from happening.

I have seen very little about whining or complaining about sports/entertainment shutdown -- good.

However, there are a ton of people who loose a ton of money when things like March madness is shutdown, the food vendors, hotels, etc all take a beating.

About time for athletes , "artists", entertainers, taverns, and casinos to learn their proper place in society!

There is a problem when a huge percentage of the GNP is service industry. Nothing being produced, just money changing hands.

Apparently, the Toronto film industry has basically rolled over and died. A lot of films get shot there. Friend of a friend is in post-production and they’ll likely lose their house. There is nothing going on.

And I agree, in Shakespeare’s time acting was the profession of wastrels. How they came to be sought for their supposed erudition is beyond me.

Work in the IT department of a hospital.

To keep the public from storming the place and overwhelming the doctors and nurses our new website banner reads "Take two chloroquine and call us in the morning."

I feel for those in the hospitality, travel, and restaurant industry.

I'm retired. To me, that's damned critical. I'm the ultimate consumer.

Does the "friend of a friend" make a decent living normally?

If so, then Why do they not have a few months worth of mortgage payments saved then? Even one or two would help.

And is your government not helping out?

I’m a trucker. I haven’t heard a word one way or another. I will say that if you’re waiting on me to deliver to a grocery warehouse you’ll starve to death. I swore I’d never deliver to one again over a decade ago and I’ve kept that promise to myself.

Grow and truck fish to market. Our motto “you sell it or smell it!”

Down about 80% since this mess started. Nobody wants to clean fish at home.

Food production.

We are on a company wide travel ban. Week before last there were only 12 of us that could fly. I’d guess in a normal week there are multiple hundreds flying.

As it stands, we are not allowed to even visit plants that are in the same town.

I hear that from a lot of the drivers I load. Too bad those jackals treat you folk like that.

Typically a truck, incoming or outgoing, is on my dock 15 to 20 minutes. And gaurandamnteed to be loaded legal.

Less than 60 minutes weigh in to weigh out, unless the docks are swamped and we have a line. But that does not last long.
