SO, how do you add a thread to your followed list. I have some that pop up there automatically, others don't.

Tap the little “badge” shaped icon at the top of the thread.

Threads that do it automatically are those that you reply to using the full editor instead of the quick reply and don't uncheck the box to add it to your followed list. Just in case you don't want to follow every thread you post to.
