What sort of price range did you have in mind, and what kind of material?

That is the question--I'm not sure. Under $75 if possible. I don't know what kind of material. I'm considering these:

Those look to be in nice shape.

I like those myself, as well as 66's in general.

66 no dash.

And for a little color (homage to the other thread). An unfired 19-3.

Local_dirt,

Between the grips in the top pic (the no dash) and the bottom pic (the dash 2) which do you like better?

I like Ahrends as mentioned above. I also like the VZ G10 grips.

Top pic (no dash) or the elk stags by Patrick Grashorn (66-1). The Ahrends are very comfortable on a 4" - 6" gun, if you have bigger hands..

Check out VZ grips if you are partial to using grips made out of G-10

I don't have a ton of experience with the Model 66, but here goes:

Here's a no dash 66, pinned/recessed, that I bought at a gun show from the original owner. I saw him checking it in at the door and we struck up a conversation about the gun. It was barely used. It had the box, original paperwork, and event the factory cleaning kit, still heat sealed in the little plastic bag. My buddy saw it and announced he was buying from me. For whatever reason, I went along with it and sold it to him.

I still own this one, a 66-1 with a 2.5" barrel, sitting with a Ruger SP101. I need to put new grips on it. Anybody have any suggestions for me at a price my wife will agree to?

i was talking to a friend of mine locally about this just a day or so ago. as to a 66, my one and only came from a fellow employee he buying it from a member of the sun city sheriff's posse. holster, and about four boxes of ammo, 150bucks. also had an action job on it.
long time ago, finally got around to replacing those rubber grips.
