The boxes original to this gun were brown wood grain and green inside with colt lettering in gold for the Q and the F so no luck there........ Both Q and F could have been sold in 58 and you could get all blued in late 58 so no help there..... Oh, the suspense is killing me... LOL Hopefully the OP will let us know soon I have two of um and they are really getting hard to find not all beat up. Kids loved them back when as they were reasonably cheaper than the more expensive 22 rims of the same period. Thus they got "used". Think they were around 50 bucks back then. Anywho.... Bump for a great little 22. NRA Life Member
