We're binge watching the first 2 seasons again before we watch the third. Great series.

On season 3 episode 8 right now, what an addictive show. I just started watching it a week ago or so, started right from season 1 episode 1. Definitely one of the better series I’ve watched.

I wasn't enamored of Better Call Saul this year. Just didn't seem as good as past years. Just started watching Season 3 of Ozark.

Just started season 1. On episode 4. Good gracious, The show is addicting.

Now that Helen is gone, who's going to order all the hits? It's beginning to take a few too many twists and turns, along with weird chit, such as Darlene and Wyatt. But, it's been a very riveting show to watch, and one that never ceases to surprise you. It's been the women that are most dangerous..............Helen, Wendy, Ruth, and Darlene. They're the ones that have been responsible for the most deaths.

I may need something new to do with the lockdown etc. What network, day, and time is this on?

I started watching last week. Season 1. I like the show but could do without all of the foul language and sex. Seems like every series that has a decent story has to add that. It’s just not necessary.

I finished season 3, it was great. Now we have to wait a year for season 4... by then I'll have to watch all 3 seasons again to remember what is going on.

Beansnbacon33: I really enjoyed the first two seasons of "Ozarks" and was greatly looking forward to season #3.
I was very, no, I was very,very disappointed! It was a 10 or 11 episode season of hour long episodes of mostly family fighting - often non-stop!
I forced myself to watch it as the VarmintWife was tolerating it a little better than I - in other words I am glad its over and not looking forward to season #4 much at all.
I hope YOU enjoy it as there are indeed some surprises but the non-stop doom and gloom and bickering and emotional outbursts, well I worked in a large city ghetto for quite a number of years and I have had more than enough of those type people/situations. Just not entertaining to me like the first two seasons were.
I much more enjoyed "I Saw A Tiger"!

What's sad is I don't remember the sex. I must be getting old.

Just finished the last episode of the third season. Hell of a ride and a finish with a great lead in for the next season.

This show has consistently great writing, acting and particularly directing. Little scenes stand out - Ben and Wyatt at the dinner table for one, and the way Ben slowly grows more out of control with his bi-polar disorder is superbly paced and acted. The plot points are well done, no side stories are left hanging and it never feels feel like they don't know where they're going with the story.

Hope they can continue this level of quality for another 2-3 seasons maybe and wrap it up cleanly, and definitely not let it drag it out until it runs out of energy.

It’s a toss up between her and Darlene.

I love Darlene.

And the sicario that the cartel always has floating around. Those are my two favorite characters.

Finished the last episode of season 3 night before last. Didn't leave me liking Marty and Wendy a whole lot. Felt like they both needed a good punch in the throat.

The Ruth Langmore actress is by far my favorite character on the show. she is awesome, troubled, complex white trash, with some smarts. I predict she ends up taking over the whole operation over when Marty is retired and or killed off. We are watching one episode per week to stretch it out. Love it.

SPOILER ALERT

Darlene's shooting Jr's dick off ruined it for me. His dad is referred repeatedly to as "a mob boss" in Kansas City. Kansas City is a major organized crime hub and somebody who is a boss isn't going to tolerate some crazed hillbilly woman shooting his kid's dick off for any amount of money. The only thing that would've possibly stopped him was protection and Darlene was under nobody's protection. She might've gotten it done if she'd just faded into the woods and never been heard from again, but coming back and confronting the guy? She made him look like a major league failure right in front of his men.

Marty's main problem is keeping Wendy under control. He just can't do it. I get that he's supposed to be this mild-mannered accountant f uc khead, but he's a smart sumbeach. He needed to either control her or get rid of her for his kid's sake. Now it's too late since she's too invested with the Cartel jefe'.

I loved it when they blew away the bull dyke. Almost as satisfying as killing off the FBI f ag.

Why would anybody want to spend 40 bucks for just one sit down movie experience when you can have stuff like Bosch, Ozark, Breaking Bad , Call Saul, in your living room? The writers of these productions outshine anything coming out of old Hollywood anyway, with their endlessly boring computer generated "action" scenes.

When is the last time you went to a movie?

Batemen writes and directs and acts in Ozarks, Both he and the young blonde chic got emmys last year for that series. Very good tv for us, Peaky blinders,Game of Thrones and the Jack Ryan series have been very good to watch. well worth the price of admission.

She really nails the part.

Spoilers here.

Like'em or hate'em, most all of the characters are very three dimensional. Not like most soap opera BS writing where you immediately know all you need to know about a character the first scene they're in. Ruth and Wendy being the obvious ones but Marty, Wyatt, Jonah - they all have a lot of layers. Wendy is torn between her need to succeed which clashes with her other overwhelming desire to protect her family at all costs. She'll even give the go ahead to kill her own brother.

I didn't care much for Ben at first but that whole story arc was superb - you saw how tight they were as brother and sister and how much she loved him and had protected and supported him growing up together, but then she finally realized that he was a threat to her kids and there was nothing she could do to reverse that. She did what had to be done and it tore her apart. Plus it completely and perhaps irrevocably alienated the very people she was protecting, her kids. Ben's slow descent into outright madness when he was off of his meds was extremely well done.

Watching Helen get hers was really satisfying but that kind of came out of left field which is unusual for this show. She was cold blooded as hell but even she had her personal demons and obviously wanted to protect her kid. You kind of figured a stone bitch like her was going to be killed but you didn't really know how. For a few minutes I was really hoping that Jonah was going to take her head clean off, that would have made an interesting character development.

But her death was a bit of an anomaly coming like it did - how did Navarro make that decision? You can tell great writing if after something happens you can think back and go "oh, yeah", that was foreshadowed by such and such four episodes ago but you didn't realize it until now. That's what impressed me so much about the first season, it was a good story excellently told and the show has managed to hold that level of quality for all three seasons so far.

Really looking forward to season four.

It was easy for Navarro to make that decision. She was a good lawyer, but expendable and was having it out with Marty, who wasn't. Wendy is expendable too but Marty is more of a team player with her alive and she does bring some stuff to the table. Navarro could kill Wendy and still have Marty's kids to hold over his head. Thus far, Wendy survives. Cartel had probably already brought in the conservative lawyer to replace her. Action is in the Ozarks right now and not in Chitcago where Bull Dyke was a major player. Need for Ozark-centric lawyer and they've got one. Witness and drag on the game eliminated.

It was believable to have a f ag in the FBI. Everybody knows the Feebs are mainly fa gg ots.

Animal Kingdom is another must-see.

That pisses me off more than anything. So many times, I have started watching a show, and after a few episodes, just when you get into the story, bam, the evil phuggers slip in a gay scene. It's phuggin evil.

That little redneck chick is kind of a badass bitch. Wouldn't want to cross her.

That makes sense and you can read between the lines and see why he did it, it just came as a bit of a surprise when it did.

Don't know the writers' mindset but the two FBI agents Petty and Evans are morally and ethically absolutely no different than Navarro - they rely on cold blooded extortion and intimidation, callously ruining anyone's life to meet their ends. Making them [bleep] was an interesting take. Maya is a real crusader, lofty goals, rigidly conservative in her ideals and personal conduct but as blindly goal oriented and arrogant as any crusader that ever lived.

Again - great characters and characterizations all around. You watch this and then watch an episode of The Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead and the stark contrast shows just how much those shows have become garbage.

That's what makes it realistic. True-to-life since that's what Feds, State and locals do all the time. Sheriff is very realistic too. For sale to the highest bidder. Look for Marty to buy him away from Darleen soon since he's got more money than she does.

The first three seasons really focus on Wendy's journey from being a depressed housewife to being the player. Marty is very invaluable to Navarro but its Wendy who has worked to legitimize the business. She sold Navarro on going legitimate. Navarro has seen cartels come and go and knows that once you are a major player in the US casino business that drug dealers come and go but casino owners are made men. There will be a war between Darlene and Frank Sr. and Wyatt will get killed. Ruth is going to become the hammer of the organization.

There is always tension between Marty and Ruth(Banging like a screen door) and I wouldn't be surprised if Navarro and Wendy have an affair. We haven't seen the Lagunas and how the FBI is going to deal with Marty's confession. I am interested in how that will play out.
