spoke with this guy the other day, W. Wayne York, Gunmaker at Oregunsmithing, LLC about reboring to 25-35. says he has done quite a few, anyone here ever used him or know of his work? Sounds pretty knowledgeable over the phone. Web Page looks good. Think I'm gonna do it, price was good enough. Interested in other peoples thoughts or comments.

I would remove the barrel and cycle a magazine of .25-35's to see how they feed.
Should be a good conversion.

Is it a .22 HP that's just worn out or the semi-typical poor accuracy of the .22 HP? Just want something different? Some folks have had luck turning them into a .25-35...but I've no experience with it, let alone with Oregunsmithing, LLC.
I've got a .22 HP that won't shoot ANYTHING but the old .228" sisk bullets (I forget the grain) that I am seriously considering having barrel lined with a true .224" bore. That way I can keep everything the same, including the brass, but shoot .224" bullets out of it. Some .22 HPs do just fine with .224" bullets, but not mine. Just another option for you.

rick, the 25-35 is the case i use to make up my reloads, so I don't see any problems. And T, looked into relining, but it was just as expensive but it's somewhat harder to do due to the small original barrel, not to say it can't be done.
