...typically .08.16/round for UMC, Fed American Eagle and Blazer, now 3X that cost and not in stock.
If gas prices were increased X3 during a hurricane or similar natural disaster it would not go well.
Cheaper than Dirt raised the price of AR15 Pmags to 54.00 each days after Sandy Hook and that didn't go well.
I have my opinion why Target Sports jacked the price on 9mm, what are your thoughts?

Why is it that people hoard target ammunition, and not the good stuff?
I remember Olin Fun boxes being ~$20 (.20)/early Commercial byob reloading $0.19 Now 100 bullets cost $25 and up except for 50grain .224 varmint

I paid $165.45 per 1000 for CCI Blazer 9mm ammo on 1/18/20 from Targetsports. I'd say there's some price gouging going on myself.

In a pinch it is much easier to cast lead round nose than jacketed hollow points...

My thoughts are that free markets have one law: the law of supply and demand. I guess if you want to pay a lower price, you can try to find it at a lower price, but chances are places that didn't raise their price are out of stock.

Know where their is 168 rounds of brass case and copper jacket high end Lapua 7.62x39 for .50 cents a round. FMJ. After they scrounged around in a cabinet , found some. Then I got stupid and educated em on what it was. Schit is like 45 to 55 bucks a box of 30.
I offered 60 bucks.
Ungrateful fuggs put it on the shelf at a buck a round. Said i could have it for 50 cents a round.
They didnt even know they had the svhitt.

A month or so I got the March sale flyer from Natchez. There were several kinds of 9mm offered at 8-9 cents. One of the local shops had some for a similar price. All history now.

Local shop had 9mm for 9 bucks a box. They has a skid literally, and i passed. Went back a couple days later to pick up a stock, and they has 2 cases left. Guy suggested I get the last cases, but I have a few cases, so I left it there for the next guy. Guy and girl came in, about mid 20s, and the girl carried that case around like it was gold. I told the guy he had a good lady as an ammo bearer. They liked that.

Bought 5 cases not long ago, got a bunch of reloading components too. You can’t have to much.

Just wait............all those prices will come down. All you have to do is look at the stock market and check out the metals they use to make ammo......................all are down.

Other than ringing ears and a dirty pistol what exactly is the reason for 9mm ball?

Good thing I don't own a 9mm... Got plenty of fodder for my .45's though.

Other than ringing ears and a dirty pistol what exactly is the reason for 9mm ball? Your reasons + muscle memory, function/weapons testing, fun, skill retention, fun, more & continued skill retention. Some may be blessed with natural ninja handgun skills, but I'm not. I require regular practice to stay honed. Or, even reasonably proficient. And since I've blabbered one more time here, please do your math. No American made or even foreign made non steel case 9mm ammo could be had for 8 cents around. NNot sure if the nastiest steel case could be had for 8 or 9 cents.
