A Cold that if you survive it causes permanent lung damage and will take possibly 10+ years off your life.

Is that from a Planned Parenthood brochure, you or an official medical publication?

The virus is predominantly killing old people yet, I see old people out all over the place. The solution is simple. The old, the perpetually sick, and the fuggin pussies should all stay home while everyone else gets back to work. If you're young and get sick, stay home and eat chicken noodle soup... like we did in the oldin days way back in 2019. If you get the virus well, that sucks.. hope you survive. An no employment protection for the fuggin pussies.

My opinion, I see a bunch of people who are more than happy to "work from home" or take their furlough and collect a government check. I think deep down, a lot of people including many on this forum, are enjoying their little vacation and leisure. But it's going to come at a steep price.

I just hope some adults finally take control of the situation and say the jig is up... get your ases back to work.

You're an idiot on a whole nother level. And I'm still working being essential and all.

And miraculously, you're still alive?!?!

Luck of the draw. I work in an apartment complex of 800 apartments right across the street from a major hospital where most of them work. How long can I continue to get lucky?

Geez dude... pain, suffering, travesty, and injustice are burdens man has carried since the beginning of time. We don't stop the world from spinning on it's axis every time we encounter hardship. We don't have the luxury. I'm sorry, but life isn't fair.... quite, find another job, stay at home if you're that dam scared.

Lots of scared folks right now. Scared people will gladly trade freedoms for perceived safety.

Just never imagined this country was so easily frightened.

Like you.
lol Please explain your thoughts on yelling "fire" in a crowded theater where no fire or evidence of one exists along with a scholarly treatise on the absolute right of the Press to knowingly lie to their readers under the 1st Amendment. Also kindly post a link to the preacher who got shot for resisting arrest after being told not to physically assemble with his congregation in order to prevent him and them from not only getting COVID themselves but also from spreading it to their family and subsequently to the general population around them.

The "fire in a crowded theater" ruling was overturned as being unconstitutional.

In the current situation, anyone that is able to speak is being barred from entering a theater, because they *might* yell fire, which is also unconstitutional.

Then of course, there's that pesky right of assembly, which you overlooked.

I sympathize with you, actually.

Freedom is a difficult concept for many people.

They think they want it, until they actually get it.

Then, they're afraid of it, when it actually becomes an issue.

You're afraid of it.

So are many other people that are at risk, or have relations that are at risk, for whatever reason.
I'm aware of the ruling, but you try exercising your Constitutional right and see how far it gets you if there is no threat of fire and a couple of people get trampled to death. In fact, I'm the one who spoke up for freedom of speech vis a vis the fire in a crowded theater argument on the recent thread where you, no doubt, got your info.

I'm in no way afraid of freedom and probably exercise my own a lot more than you do yours.

Your absolute right to assemble does not supercede my right to not have you expose my whole family to COVID.

You ignored what I asked you about gun rights.

People are right to fear that which should be feared. Only the terminally stupid, don't. And "terminally" is not used figuratively here.

If Kansas City, as well as other places, stay quarantined for six months, then we should talk about Constitutional Rights. Right now, you should try to keep cool and not murder your neighbor for yelling across his yard at you for hosting a block party.

By my logic he should be charging interest. If he owed taxes, you best your ass he would be charged interest and a penalty.
Hell, the Federal Income payroll tax is interest free income the government has compounded over a year, and yet its broke to the negative.

You chest-thumping, self-professed brave, patriotic, free men oughta go volunteer at the ER’s and hospitals in the hot zones like NYC and New Orleans. They would appreciate any help they can get from anyone in any way. Step up and help em’ out with all these ‘colds’ they are struggling against. Show us how awesome y’all are.

If you're not getting one you're either in the country illegally, a child support piker, or making enough money that you shouldn't need one. If it's the latter, then good for you, but don't worry about the rest of us...I mean, it's not like you're worried about getting the virus and then exposing other folks who may not have as much resistance as yourself.

If this shutdown goes past May, I'll be surprised. We'll see. If it goes on very long, the best question is not "COVID safety vs. the Economy" it's "how many will die due to the economic shutdown vs. how many will die from the COVID". Don't worry, the new boat will be there next year for you to buy after you make up your losses in the stock market when it comes back as Trump has promised.

Let's keep it simple.

The right of assembly guaranteed in the Constitution is superior to your right to not feel afraid.

You're afraid, so you want every other person in America to change their behavior until you're not afraid anymore.

Hell with Covid, look to the future.

After Covid's over, the government should award you a car with lights and siren, and a police escort, so everbody can pull over as you pass by, and you won't feel afraid of gettin in a car accident.

You should be provided with a secret service detail as you walk down the street, authorized to shoot anyone that looks threatening, so that you won't feel afraid of bein assaulted.

If you decide to fly, you should be given a private plane, and take off from the private area of the airport, so you won't feel afraid of terrorism, or the plane havin problems.

Your kids should get free private tutors, because they could be bullied at school.

Because it's *you*.

I'm sorry for your loss. But they could also have died in any number of ways. I don't think that shutting down the country would be the answer for that, either. The country will go into a recession, and studies show that recessions lead to extra deaths, as well. And if you add up the total time from exposure to end of contagiousness, plus the time for any stray viruses in the environment to die, we would have to shut down everything (i.e. no "essential" businesses) for a couple months. That would destroy the social order. If we don't do that, it will just flare up again. And it's debatable if even one more person would have survived.

Awe, shucks ma'am, thanks for worryin' about my fears.

Just stay in your house up in the metro area and the cops won't bother you. That simple. You can rant on here and tell us what commies we are until the country opens back up again in a few weeks. Be assured I read the first and last sentence of your post and it didn't make any more sense than any of your other normal drivel.

By looking at some of the posts here on this site, we can be reasonably assured of some of those who spawned the idiots who went on Spring Break, partied down, and then exposed thousands to the deadly virus due to their stupidity.

They'd a big difference. People are dying from this virus! Did you want to visit will these families and explain to them that people die? Yeah, didn't think so.

Geez....

I have to ask, how does a guy like you function in life? I'm going to let you in on a little secret, but don't tell anyone.... one day, we all die! shocked

Obviously you haven't been following all the posts here lately. Only covid deaths matter right now. It's exponential! EXPONENTIAL! I tell you! The deaths are doubling every four days. At that rate, we'll all be dead by June! Who cares if there's a economy left when everyone's dead?
