I am not convinced it'll be Biden, I think the dems have something up their sleeves. But if it is, I cannot see how it isn't the biggest landslide victory in a long time.

Hitlary was a conniving, evil [bleep] who could at least speak. Biden is just a blathering IDIOT.

He can't close it within States, and accordingly he can't by fiat re-open it within the States.

That won't stop the Democrat Governors from saying "the President made me do it" if the outcome is bad, and all the sheep in the country will nod their heads in agreement.

If the states fail to take action, and the outcome is bad, they will fabricate blame for Trump. If they take action, and the outcome is bad, they will fabricate blame for Trump. If the outcome is good in either case, it will be because of their genius, in despite of Trump.

I tend to feel the same. I believe that Biden is the useful idiot, collecting delegates to throw over to The Chosen One on the second convention vote, after the first vote reaches no majority on a candidate.

As to quarantine powers and closing/opening anything, the Federal Government only has power to limit travel over State lines and on Federal Property. The States are reserved the power to make these rules within their respective boundaries.

So...Trump can't open anything within the respective States. I wish he had that power and could shove all this up the libtard governors' azzez and get us all working again.

If all the other Democrat idiots bowed out, how would he not get the majority at a convention? If Bernie stayed in, I could see your scenario play out because the cult he rules would do anything he says.

Naw, I actually think they are this lame. Biden is such a horrible candidate, they will play the Vice President savior card. Kinda like when we nominated McLame and then lost anyway. There are entire think tanks of communists out there in the country spending all day trying to come up with a VP pick that can salvage the election.

I hope you are right, and the VP pick is Michigan's Gov.

4 more years of WINNING.

If they have any brains, they'll try to get someone from one of the swing states Trump flipped. Then again, they are who they are and will likely pick a cool aid drinker from a deep blue state and try to get the socialist wing.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with admitting a mistake and changing course.

On the thought of the liberals provoking a failing economy with the hopes of taking over in November :It just makes me sick.

I personally do not think the governor has the right to shut a business without due process— pandemic or not. The Michigan governor has no Constitutional authority to dictate what a store can and cannot sell. There are other examples of overreach.

Americans are going along with this shutdown but our patience is wearing thin. Today around 1600 Americans died of coronavirus related illnesses. As bad as that is, if there are not 10,0000+ deaths per day, too many will not believe this is real. The cure is becoming worse than the disease— as far as the masses are concerned.

We need to be smart but get back to living.

If a governor is violating an incorporated constitutional right, doesn't the Federal government have the authority and obligation to step in?

I wish Trump would have put it right in the laps of the governors. Then the responsibility would not be on him, but them. Then the voters could vote them out. Then ,however it went ,he could say, hey I tried to get your state going again but your Governor said no.

^^^^The truth.

I've noted that he keeps Bill Barr close at hand in many of these briefs. That tells me he realizes he isn't an expert on the Constitution.

He's a very smart man. Knows his capabilities and limitations. Relies on others he can trust to cover his gaps.

That's what federal courts are for. It's the way things work. It's a process that gets too bogged down anymore, but it's the Constitutional way to do things.

And if they defy the courts?
