Scary I know and hard not to think about what could happen but best wishes and hope for the best. Mine will be 90 soon and still living on her own and has been good about staying in, but I'm still concerned for her until the majority of this passes.

Best wishes to all with their families' struggles with illness - with or without Covid19. We just lost our Mother two weeks ago at 93. While it was a very slow-growing cancer and to be expected, it still is a shock to you. God bless you all as you face the "cycle of life".

No symptoms at all right now but a couple weeks ago he had a scratchy throat and as silly as it seems, he sneezed while on the phone with us. The thing is he never gets a cold or cough, we all thought that was odd. Maybe he had it and those were all the symptoms he showed? Maybe not?

They will keep a close eye on him while quarantined for 14 days or so.

So here's an update to my post on this. My FIL has shown almost no symptoms since the positive Covid 19 test. The assisted living facility ordered a chest xray last week that showed some cloudy areas in his lungs and a lower blood oxygen level was a little low. They have kept an eye on him since then and the B/O level improved fast and he has zero symptoms, actually he's never felt better.

One serious bit of bad news, my FIL had a lady friend in the home for the past year and a half. They have been very close although had separate rooms, spending almost all daylight hours together. She was also diagnosed positive for Covid 19 the same day as my FIL. She was admitted to the hospital 5 days ago and passed away today. Very tough for all involved, she was a great lady.
