if you are like me you're probably close to running out of "new" movies to watch.
I stumbled across a couple I haven't had a chance to watch, actually I never even heard of them.
The first is The Numbers Station with John Cusack.
Cusack is some kind of government security that goes around killing people that deserve it, loses his nerve and is assigned to protect a code encryptor that works at a numbers station in London. Its a popcorn movie - a shoot'em up
The second is a movie alot of you probably won't like. Its called The Homesman. Its a western with Tommy Lee Jones, Hillary Swank and Meryl Streep. But there are no gunfights. 3 women lose their minds in the prairie towns for various reasons and Hillary Swank has decided she is going to take them to a town in Iowa to help them. She recruits Tommy Lee Jones to help her, and the story is about the hardships of dealing with 3 insane women on a rough journey. It has a hard twist at the end you don't really see coming. Its directed by TLJ.. Its got a Tomahawk Bone kinda feel to it but without the nightmarish violence.
anyways....take it for what its worth. I'm scrolling thru movies trying to find anything I haven't watched yet.

Never heard of The Numbers Station.
I have watched The Homesman. Kind of off beat. But I thought it was great.

Don't like TLJ's politics, but we enjoyed the Homesman.

Second hand lions with Robert Duvall is one of my favorites that it seems not a lot of people have heard of. One of the better scenes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkccqolaVGg

The Homesman was a good movie. As mentioned it was off beat but the movie kept your mind thinking. No regrets watching it.

Homesman is very good. If the ballad of buster scruggs is still on, get past the first episode where they didnt know when to quit. It gets better but is not a feel good movie.
Winters bone Lovely bones. Very unsettling.
The beast ( of war) Sweeney Todd The proposition Tracker Mad dog morgan Secret of roan inish Waking ned Devine

Second Hand lions is really good. It’s a for sure ‘ must watch ‘. The Irishman sucked a bag of dicks. Killing them softly with brad Pit was lame too.

The Homesman is good for most of the movie but ultimately kind of depressing.

The Homesman was pretty good if a bit depressing. Folks think they're isolated now but that showed the reality of pre-Civil War pioneer life on the prairie for thousands of people - isolation mixed with unending drudgery. That scene where he wants into a poker game also shows the precariousness of the monetary system - the bank goes under and your cash is worthless.
it might be interesting to know just how many people really did go bonkers out there.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Hell yeah on The Duelists. Great flick! The Redbad movie was pretty good, saw it on Amazon Prime. Can't comment on The Homesman as I haven't seen it. Shidt eating Tommy Lee Jones is the star, don't plan on it.
