Might be.. but the first really nice 1907 in 32 I got had a spring that was extremely stiff. Very stiff.. I think it might just be a function of stiffening up if not used. No. The springs are totally different in size and strength. .32 has a round wire coil. .380 has a flat wire coil.

So you're saying the spring in my 32 wasn't extremely stiff? Cuz it was.. I'll grant that the 380 can probably get worse than a 32. Doesn't mean the 32 can't be bad. Most of my 32's are fine. But that one really nice one took some serious effort to work the action.

So you're saying the spring in my 32 wasn't extremely stiff? Cuz it was.. No. That's what you said. That's not the point. Texken mentioned his pistol slide was difficult and I told him why. No, a 380 can't get worse. It is simply a different style and much stronger spring. Last word?

I've got 380's that are much easier to work the action on than on my really nice 32. So agree to disagree.

I've got 380's that are much easier to work the action on than on my really nice 32. So agree to disagree. No again. It was explained why texken's 380 felt more difficult to slide than his 32's. THE SPRING IS BIGGER AND STRONGER. It's by design. Good news! Gives me an excuse to crack a safe. I just worked the actions on 18 .32's and 10 .380's. Nothing felt even close .32 to .380. Although my nickel .380 was stronger than all others.
