I found this brown recluse today while I was cleaning out an old garage. I think it is the biggest one I have ever seen.

They give me the willies.

Those and ticks. Not a fan. Black Widows are nasty, but they won't cause your ass to rot off.

It’s good to spray your basement and garage every year... you’d be suprised what you find dead on the floor after that.

Got bit by one working on deer stands a few summers ago. Thought my knee was going to rot off. Took several courses of different anti biotics to get it healed. Got bit on a Sunday and didn’t know it. Had an itch that night. By Tuesday it was pussing and oozing blood. Was traveling on business and it ruined a pair of dress pants on a flight from Boston to Houston. The Houston Urgent care and then pharmacy in the bad part of town in the middle of the night was a lot of fun

Once the anti biotics got it under control skin was sloughing off my knee for a month.

It became a wet spot on the floor right after I took the photo. The damn thing was very feisty for a cool day. It didn't make any effort to get away.

Cannot move anything in my garage that has been sitting for more than a couple months without almost always finding 2 or 3 behind THAT item.

Real bad around cardboard boxes of canning jars I have in the upstairs part of my garage. Also predictable between pieces of scrap lumber and plywood I keep in the same building.

The first deer I kill every season, is an exciting time to be in the walk in cooler with it. Even at 38-40 degrees in my walkin, I still kind of ‘march in place’ while I’m skinning one out on the hooks. Then I got the fuggin ticks and deer lice crawling up my sleeves too. Gat Dayumm...

Where I live there are no grizzlys or great whites, but I have awakened in the night and seen fiddlebacks and black widows enroute to the pissoir. The bug assassin that comes monthly is my hero. I have 2 friends that suffered long term health problems secondary to Black Widow bites. I hate the phuggers.

If you would provide them with their own pisser in an area of the house that you don't frequent it might help.

Slummy, one of the best muledeer bucks I ever killed had a garland of ticks around his neck and head. I covered him w/ blackbrush and creosote and crispified him before breaking him down. I once tossed a prime winter coyote in the trunk of my wife's car. she drove to work the next day and found a couple of fleas on her. My world came to a temporary but dramatic end.

Say what you will about Pa.
I have never seen a Black Widow, and we are out of the Brown Recluse
zone. Ticks and our few skeeters and biting flies are enough for me.

You all can have you bugs and reptiles.
Our Timber rattlers and Copperheads are bad enough

I would build them their own house if they would stay out of mine. Coyotes and bugs thrive in urban sprawl.
