the biggest drawback seems to be the sights and short barrel. Hard to be accurate enough for humane hunting but probably good enough to dispatch vermin at close range. Another genius.

I was playing with a shield ez in .380 and my thought was it make a good edc gun and might work against small game/ vermin should the opportunity arise.

Knew a guy in PENN who was on stand for a deer drive and had a red fox come sneaking past him that the drivers kicked out. Dropped it dead at about 20 yards with a Colt Mustang 380

MY sig P238 is far more accurate in my hands than my LCP. There are some other .380s that are certainly accurate enough in the hands of a good shooter to cleanly take small game.
Assuming the accuracy is there, I think a good .380 HP has plenty of killing power for small game.

I hate to get off track but I'd rather use a Ruger LC9s or even a Ruger EC9 for something like that. I see shooting small game as an incidental thing to do while you are out.
