Because a death rate of .00002% is far less risky than driving and being killed in a car crash?

If you hate them, which I really do, that’s another matter all together.

If I was of a mind to do a cruise I'd take a free one right now.

You just have to use some sense people.

Yep.

Just stay locked up in your room. Let’em discover just on case of Co-19 on board and you’re now on an extended cruise, quite possibly.

I sure hope they go back to cruising as normal as soon as possible. I bought carnival at 7.97$ a share. I’m currently sitting really close to doubling my money already.

Gonna ride it out and see how they do. Had Norwegian at 8.30$ a share but dumped last week for a pretty decent profit. Norwegian scares me they won’t be able to ride this out if they don’t get back to sailing by October

Never been on a cruise but had wanted to at least try one. Maybe with the discounts I’ll go next year lol

Norwegian will resume limited sailing on July 1. However, I just saw a news report that says Norwegian may be the first cruise line to go under (unintentional pun) due to the quarantine. Makes me glad I opted for the refund instead of the future cruise credit - assuming I even get the refund.

Not from any US port. Maybe from Vancouver ?

Heard on the news there is a backlog of people trying to get on cruises this year. Carnival has 109 ships, they are going to have cruises on 8 of them

Doesn't sound like those cruises will be much fun. If anyone gets sick, its pretty much game over for them for the year so you'll be watched like a hawk while you are there

On the other hand, with a month or more to work, there'll be no place on the planet cleaner than a cruise ship, except an operating room. And with the super-stringent pre-boarding checks all passengers will have to go through, maybe even the safest.

Yep.

Probably more sanitary than the day that they left the shipyards. The cruise industry can ill afford anymore bad press.

August 1, no year' given?

Most likely start will be mid-2021, perhaps August 1, 2021.

Agree Rocky, but passengers will come aboard (possibly carrying the virus) and infect the ship. Also, passengers will disembark at various ports and return with who knows what?

Fair question.

August of this year. Tentatively.

We avoid the bigger ships though, just too many people for us. We have one particular company we prefer to cruise with, after trying several.

Well.....??

Are you keeping that cruise line's name a secret for some reason?

I bet these cruise lines are calculating re-starting business by requests for bookings.

When they can get enough passengers to run a profitable trip, they will resume..

Even in the best of times.
Fugg No.....

Buncha people shuffling around, slowing down everything at mach turtle speed.
Cant get around em, cant pass em...
People of all ages picking out the perfect peice of chicken or what the fugg ever in a buffet line slowing up everyone else who are hungry.
The awesome cooked meals at formal dining...
Buncha loud drunks partying....
Kids running around like hamsters.
Mandatory scam tipping envelope crap at the end of it.
You all think Rico the phillipino gets to open that up? Lol!!!
Those envelopes left in your room after that departure guilt trip briefing are a cash flow scam and accountable by a blue light serial # scanner unbeknowest to you. Little if any from that envelope gets into Rico,s hands, the only tips that do are the ones you give them 3rd world workers personally.
Planned tourist trap stops.
Foreign travel experience.... Lol!!!
Getting the Hershey squirts is a given.....
That special feeling of being pampered and attended too...
Planned activities.
The wonderful shows.
The veiw and scenary...

Seen enough of the planet....
Travel dont trip my trigger....
LOL!!!!

YMMV.......
