I had by-pass surgery 12 years ago. Still hunting every fall. Follow the Doctor's recommendations and keep doing what you want as soon as you can.

Been there and done that. Just put your head in a good place and let the docs do what they do. Worrying about stuff doesn’t do anything for you except making you lose sleep. Do what they tell you and you’ll have more zip when you get it behind you. Let us know how it goes. Good luck sounds kind of trite, because luck doesn’t have anything to do with it.

I had quadruple bypass on May 2, 2012. It was a rough recovery, but worth it. I got my life back. Good luck, and God bless. You will be in my prayers.

Triple by pass 3 years ago. The vein harvest in my right leg was no fun . Found that a recliner for sleeping is a god send ,keeps you from putting pressure on the chest getting in and out of bed. Day after I got out I walked 1/2 mile ,the next day 1 mile and the third day 2 miles. Day 4 on I walked 4 miles per day. Follow the docs orders and when its time for cardiac rehab work hard and your life can be what you want post surgery. I returned to work at week 6, a physical job and should have taken another 4 weeks off but was stir crazy.
Sending prayers all goes well and a positive attitude will get you thru it.
Never take life to seriously, after all ,no one gets out of it alive.

My youngest son had open heart surgery on March 17th. Now, almost 2 months later, he is doing very well.
My prayers are with you, these surgeries today are common and straight forward.
You'll be fishing in a couple months and, maybe not big game hunting, you should be able to get out for birds
and small game.

Prayers for you bud. I was lucky and a stent solved my problem but I did notice that I felt better than I had in 3 years.
