How about a highly tuned and modified Honda Civic?
Nothing like blood flowing out of your ears as a car hits a whopping 27mph. Listen close and you'll hear this as they shift gears: nnnnndooouche, nnnndooouche, nnndooouche......

Neighbor has a 67 Mustang and Early 70s Camaro with Flowmasters...sounds really nice and I actually love to hear him crank them up. He does pretty much idle through until he gets our of the 'hood but you can hear him rip on them from time to time on the main road. Muscle cars sound nice....Harleys like schit but many seem to like how they sound, go figure.

Local dude had his big diesel vandalized pretty bad over his loud exhaust. I tend to believe that his obnoxious driving played a part as well.

Probably the worst up here are jacked up diesel pickups with 8 inch exhausts and Harleys with straight pipes.
Those people should be shot. In the face. Repeatedly. But not azzholes with aftermarket loud exhausts on "cool cars"? Everytime I pass a motorcycle with loud pipes on the road I hope they t-bone a deer. I like loud exhausts when I'm the one driving the truck lol. If I lived in a neighborhood in suburbia I wouldn't even think about it. Unless my neighbors were all azzholes. Then yeah, but that'd be more punitive than rude.

Guess it really depends on where you live. In the small town I live in the PD are looking for something to do. Complain about speeders or loud exhaust a couple of times and they will respond. A ticket will usually solve the problem. Hasbeen

Don't they have noise ordnances where you guys live? Another thing I'd like to see is a law against motorcycle bellowing. Nothing louder than a Toyota's mufflers should be legal.
Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

I can empathize with both. But one thing a considerate person does is not run their exhaust as loud as possible through anyone's neighbourhood.
It takes a village to raise an idiot.

There’s a big difference between a tough exhaust and some dick head trying to make his vehicle as loud as possible. Anybody that needs it explained should be shot.

What a bunch of whiners.... Y'all hate noise so much - then go livin' in the center of an 80A set of woods... Careful though - them crows can get mighty loud..

Loud is loud. What sounds "tough" to one ear, may sound "as loud as possible" to another. Anybody that needs that explained to them should be more polite in the innanet. Courtesy should reign when you live inside a fold. How else is it manageable?

I have some old OCD mofugga across the street. Takes him a couple hrs to do less than 20 yards of sidewalk. Not kidding. My alcoholic neighbor (directly across the street) can't stand him. So a few days after the old fugger mows his yard, boozeboy does his. Since it's shorter, OCD guy can't handle it, and mows his again. The drunk watches the weather channel to make sure the old guy has to remow on the hottest day of the week. My drunk neighbor is cool

I can handle loud music.
Fuggin big diesels and Harleys just kill me. Rice burners w nuclear duck fart mufflers aint cool either.
Have pretty bad tinnitus, so maybe hearing shifted to where stuff bothers me more than others.
Rap at any volume is chit.

I wave to people on country roads all the time. Am usually running the same routes, going hunting or fishing. Hell just being genuinely friendly, could get me a new groundhog spot of sumpthin too.
Old farmer sittin on porch on a summer day............
cool shade, cool place............I reckon the old boy earned his comfort and its just nice to be happy for him.
During the Covid I went to a gunshop and took a slight detour to pass a coworkers house. He was on his tractor and I waved as I went by. Just to say "social distancing hello".
Damn, it aint hard to be nice.
