Not uncommon here. But not normal.
Once they cap them up, you never know they can flow themselves.
Some are left run, but it can be a problem dealing with the water.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Anchor Point, down on the Kenai, has quite a few artesian wells; some are fairly deep.
My grandfather had a spring in Dutchess Co, NY, supplying water to three houses without pumping for many decades.
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.
