I don't drink coffee. It gives me acid indigestion/heartburn. I don't drink soda either. White soda such as 7-UP is what i take for acid indigestion/heartburn.

I only drink a cup once in a blue moon. I don't dislike it, just don't crave it. I do prefer iced to hot.

If you are Italian, the kids are allowed to drink coffee. Makes sense if you are hyper to start with. Sure beats dangerous amphetamines that some. physicians dispense to children like pez to offset the damage often caused by earlier injections of vaccines, food and chemical sensitivities.
As for me, it was an aquired taste. Started in college after giving up pop. The pop was way worse.....aspartame poison in the diet and Mercury poisoning from the standard high fructose corn syrup sweetener. I don't drink the rot gut pop any more, just good ol Peruvian coffee..organic so no bug killer sprayed on it. It's a good price at Aldi's. Check it out if you like coffee.

I don't drink coffee. Never have and never will. Everyone I work with acts all amazed that I can show up for work and get right to it without any. I tell them that if they can't then they should re-evaluate their situation.

Y'all ought to see the truck drivers. Every truck stop, like Pilot or Flying J, has 3 huge coffee pots. Big 5 gallon pots with Hawaiian Kona, or Jamaican roast, whatever. High caffeine coffee. And the drivers come in there with a huge coffee mug, big insulated mug that holds 44 ounces. And they fill 'er up. That is what they are going to drink on this day, 5 or 6 regular cups of coffee. Good for keeping awake out on the road on a 14 hour shift.

I tell them that if they can't then they should re-evaluate their situation. Published: September 28, 2018 Is coffee good for you or not? By American Heart Association News Just a couple of calories a cup, good old black coffee packs quite a punch. It wakes you up, boosts your metabolic rate and decreases the risk of some diseases. Not that habitual coffee drinkers need convincing, but evidence of its health benefits stacks up quickly: • It gives you energy and may help you lose weight and sharpen your mental focus, thanks to the magic of caffeine. Studies have shown that caffeine may improve your mood, help your brain work better and improve performance during exercise. • A regular java habit is associated with a lower risk of Type 2 diabetes and Parkinson’s disease. Additionally, in one study, caffeine was linked to a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease. • Coffee is an excellent source of antioxidants, which may help protect cells from damage. • Higher consumption of coffee – caffeinated and decaf alike – was associated with a lower risk of total mortality, including deaths attributed to heart disease, nervous system diseases and suicide. More specifically, habitual coffee drinking has been linked to a lower risk of coronary heart disease in women. For health-conscious coffee lovers then, the most important question isn’t, “Is it good for you?” but rather, “How do you take it?” If you dress your coffee up too much with cream and sugar, you risk negating the health benefits.

Thanks for the reminder. It's time for the afternoon cup. I've heard people say they don't like the taste of beer or liquor, or that it's an aquired taste, but I'm the only person I know that doens't drink coffee. Never saw the attraction.

Bowsinger,
You make a good point. I don't want to highjack this good thread or take this off topic, so I think that the best thing to do is to start a separate thread for coffee drinkers. If you want to bring that post over, feel free to.
I like this conversation from coffee tea totallers too much and not going to try to change any minds. Early adulthood I hated coffee. Cramming for finals and midterms eventually changed that.
I think everyone needs to buy a good water purifier and drink more water anyhow.

Not a fan. Probably had maybe two cups in my life and those were to speed recovery from near hypothermic conditions. Do iced tea, but no desire for the hot stuff.

One cup in the morning and that's it.
Two for me...and done.

I love good coffee. I drink it every day. Sometimes all day. I can drink it at night and it doesn’t affect my sleep at all. A good cup of coffee to me is one of the simple pleasures of life.
Every day on this side of the ground is a win.

Not even God speaks to me 'till I've had my second cup in the morning! Where's the coffee drinkers thread?
