It’s crazy out there. We are supposed to wear a mask in the county I work in, but nobody is.

OK, so I went to see the movie, and was like, that's the dumbest damned thing I have ever paid to watch. Then, for the next 6 months, all I hear is how much awesome it is. It was a pivotal point in my life. I've hated pop culture even more so since that period.

My hearing is kind of poor and I wear hearing aids. A mask muffles the sound so when talking to someone in a mask, I have to put my face right in theirs to hear what they're saying. For people like me, masks create more close contact than they prevent.

Maybe it's time to send off some emails to our Republican leaders to challenge the governor. Lol

I'm sure a peaceful protest could turns things right around. They seem like reasonable people.

Well lets see. The US has 4% of the world's population and we are currently at 25% of the world's Covid-19 death rate. The Midwest rates are not raising because we are behaving ourselves and staying the hell away from other people and shopping at stores where masks are not optional, but required.

The up date on the wife's friend with Covid-19 infected in March: 42 days in ICU in a medically induced coma with a breathing tube and IV feeding tube. Awake now but looking at 3 more months of in hospital rehabilitation and still not able to talk because of that air way tube and still being fed through a IV needle. She was able to stand a few days ago with the help of three aids and can sit in a chair now without falling over. About 40% of the muscle mass has been lost to atrophy. I suppose that now that she has awakened they will list her as "recovered". A double lung transplant isn't out of the question. I'll bet that Kathy would have opted for a mask if she only had known what most of us know now.

They are saying that the ICU beds are at 100% filled with Covi patients in parts of Texas and Arizona, so don't get into a major accident.

Finally, Inslee, is tough on crime.

A spokesman for Inslee said that violation of the statewide mask order is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 90 days in jail and up to a $1,000 fine. Violation of the Yakima County proclamation is a gross misdemeanor, punishable by up to 364 days in jail and up to a $5,000 fine.

Inslee and Ferguson cannot enforce this new edict - they are too busy planning the investigation of 30 police brutality complaints.

Very true! Now if everyone voluntarily wore a mask for the next 30 days this mess would likely be over in 30 days and the economy would likely recover in time for November elections. Somehow I don't see that happening, this going to drag out for a while.

That's a shame to see such a conservative state have that happen.
