Kent Yeah I thought about doing that and didn’t out of laziness Stupid My charge could be me or my wife or my mom. If it’s them they’ll sign to my daughter. I can say it’s a kaibab or strip tag though

Some people contend that hotdogs were perfected in Chicago. This is incorrect. It was the Mexicans. I miss being able to get a good Sonoran dog
I really miss coues hunting too, they may be my favorite

Cows is some guy they named one of the coolest deer for before they were cool... so ya it's cooz, because they shouldn't be some dude's livestock name.
Coues deer are a poor man's sheep hunt, usually in tougher type terrain.
First 15ish deer I killed were carp, next 15ish were coues. I'm back to waiting for 3c tag, almost there...
That said read my next post.

I once asked a couple of French ladies how they would pronounce coues, and the said the did not recognize it as French, but would say "cowce" (rhymes with house). So was Elliott Coues really French?

And who knows how the guy pronounced his name 100 years after he died, or 100 years after anyone knew him. As you say even French people wouldn't pronounce it cows. He wasn't an arizonian, he didn't discover them, I'm sure the local tribes hunted them and had a name for them. We call them cooz so that's what they're called, Mexicans may call them something else... and that's what they are called... apaches may call them something else and that's what they are called. Locals decided how to pronounce a word. Kent

Anyway looking up Elliot Coues on different sites...
Elliott Coues (/ˈkaʊz/; September 9, 1842 – December 25, 1899) was an American army, historian
Looks like it was pronounced cause. And being the family is from Boston, who really knows.
Anyone Facebook friends with the Boston Coues'?
