You have a number of all common styles of firearms, about 5K of loaded ammo and maybe 2K unloaded brass. Given current affairs would you load the empties or pour a drink?
I can’t carry all my loaded ammo at present. It weighs 150-200#.

I plan on seizing their arms and ammo but of course that will bring other conundrums. I have no dies for 9mm or 5.56, so I’ll just have to keep adding to the pile. None of my scatterguns have 3” chambers. I will keep you in mind if such things develop.

A little more truth to this than humor. Load up the empties, and make them available to anyone on your 'team' that needs them. If the SHTF I'll give any good guys I can find some ammo...

I plan on herding up my enemies after a quick firefight and walking behind the huge group with a derringer just daring one of em to fugg up.

You're good. I'd be constructing kill-traps, er... landscaping features designed to funnel guests where it be easy to "serve" them. Pyracantha and Chinese Bitter Orange are good shrubs for crowd control; Nature's barbed wire.
Pyracantha has the added benefit of its berries fermenting, which makes the birds who eat them drunk as lords, very entertaining.
What fresh Hell is this?

Got the traps done, simple stuff learned in Nam. We have a lot of bamboo here in the swamps. Dead falls are a given.
Poobs, my team is loonier than me and each has his own cartridge menu. Some common ground of course, but more country for strange men is the norm. I’d help a stranger out if it served purposes, but I don’t know of many these days that shoot the old school classics. Well, maybe the .22rf and .30-30....all that is loaded and ready.

I can’t carry all my loaded ammo at present. It weighs 150-200#. Load everything that you can. No battle was ever lost by having too much ammo.

Well, I be considering that. Maybe tomorrow I'll turn on the lead pot and get busy. Well, 'cept for a few. Won't be loading cast in my truck gun, or Mouser. Or the 1/4 bores. Well, except for the .25-20's. Looks like boredom just left town.

You guys are mean talking me into this reloading binge. For example, I have 900 cases of .25-20 Win brass, 200 of which are loaded. Approximately 500 of the remainder are virgin brass. -sniff- Win and Rem, front to rear. I notice it's out of stock everywhere. It will take me half the day to cast that many bullets.
Don't be jealous.
Another 150 .45-70 cases...cripes'a mighty, that's like 12# of lead. 200 for the .38-55 200 for the Mouser
Praise be unto Zeus for muzzle loaders! Wait...I got about 800# of lead, do I need to cast all that too?

Don’t mean to sound contrary but I don’t think I need that much per cartridge/chamber. I have a propensity for making each shot count and don’t hang around the spray and pray crowd. Case in point: back when I started plinking pigs with CB Shorts I purchased a couple bricks. Still have over 700 rounds and the body count is over 200. Were I to set about the 5K target I’d have over 100K rounds. I’d have to buy more primers....

OK, you “new normal” wankers win a little ground over the last few days. 200 more .25-20 cases loaded. All jacketed loads with some ancient Hornady 60 gr RN bullets. And 100 .30-30 cases found purpose. The heart warming part of the deal is that I used the last of a jug of HERCULES 2400 inherited at the same time the Horney bullets came into my life. Too, nearly all of my gaschecked 311041 bullets are loaded. I have more room in the locker. 😎
Awaiting my attention is the .250 Savage/.38-55/7x57 brass. I hope you are all happy.
