I've had my phone powered down on the table and talked about hot tub filters. I hadn't Google them or talked about them at other times. Powered my phone back up and hat ads from Facebook and Google for hot tub filters.

I was discussing the same concerns about the monitoring with the wife recently. We ended the discussion with some humour, I laughed, the wife laughed, Siri laughed... Alexa feeling left out?

I was just on the phone with someone and as i finished, it beeped and i looked at my screen and there was a short message that said my conversation was being sent to Google for voice recognition.
Anyone ever see anything like that? Its an android Samsung.
Also, i have a knew expensive tv. Samsung high def and i can just be sitting and watching it and it will go silent and have the lower screen turn black and have the message "Im Listening".
Then the message will have a word said by me or by the tv. Then the message will change to "I didnt understand that".
WTH is wrong with just getting a freaking clear bright tv nowdays. Yup, that's why I wouldn't accept a freebie from best buy on those if they offered. "Hal. Are you there? I can hear you breathing Hal. You can cover my lens, but the 5g makes it easy to see you Hal." Alex Jones reported on those nearly 10 years ago and everyone called him a conspiracy theorist. He said READ THE OWNERS MANUAL! IT SAYS IT HERE IN BLACK AND WHITE! That's creepy, no matter what the best buy salesman says. Im not yelling or mad at you. I can't speak for AJ though. 😁

Our senator and Ron Paul were the only outspoken senators against this.
The Rutherford Institute has won cases on this issue and the head council for it teaches about this issue more than anyone that I know.
The weekly pod classes are worth a listen.

All joking aside, my TV is NOT a smart TV and is getting old.
I higher def and larger screen rig proly have all the spooky chit on it.
Think FB accessed by phone or PC, even when device not synced.......links the two.
Stuff searched on one, pops up ads for similar on other.
Wonder if no social media means no link.

True story. Wife and i are coming down I 40 from Knoxville to Charlotte. We cross the French Broad River over a newly installed bridge. She's working her cross word puzzle and I nod toward the river and say French Broad. A half dressed young thing comes up on my Google pixel phone and says "what are you looking for?". I kept on saying french broad, french broad, then italian broad, english broad, but I couldn't get her back.

My Goober help has no permission, yet turns on unexpectedly like that too on the android system. As soon as I notice it, it searches the first words out if my mouth. It did that with the location function too.
I wish that there was a way to delete them.
Some people use those functions. I decided not to, yet we have a potentially dangerous device that requires 24 /7 spying and can throw anything a stranger decides on your little portable computer.

I wish it was like it was back in the "olden days" when you watched TV and your TV didn't watch you...and listen to you.
I started using the self check out at the grocery store because of the cv restrictions. I even hate the computer telling me what to do and constantly telling me to "put the unscanned items back" when the attendant saw me scan them. Then I have to wait for the attendant to come over and correct the computer issue. I feel like Elvis Presley in front of his TV.
If he were alive today, I wonder how many smart tvs he would've shot?
