I knocked out the mag block, which turned it into a 2.8" box. I took a .308 follower, filed it slimmer to accommodate the .22-204, which is longer than the .223. I don't need the full length mag, but it does feed smoothly. I taught you that...... Yep, and I gave you no credit... But, I did refer to you as "Prof. aalf"... DF

Just yankin' your chain....... Edited to add, that's an impressive line up of rifles. But, no surprise there... DF

Monday, I worked up a load with the 22/204, 9T, Shilen, 25".
69g Sierra match king
26.0 26.5 27.0g of IMR 4064 with CCI-BR4 all shot groups the size of a pencil eraser! 7 1/2 primer shot 1/2-5/8" groups, so the cci br 4 sealed the deal on accuracy
Now to try the tipped sierra match king...stay tuned

After the testing, the barrel much prefered the standard 69g MK over the 69g Tipped....69 was easy to tune, oal wise and # powder wise.

I have a 222 mag. The picture shows the 222 mag has a longer neck.
The longer neck was one reason 6mm Remington was preferred. A short neck was a knock on 300 Win mag. These are issues that have been used and abused for over fifty years. It also keeps gun makers and gunsmiths in business.
