In this verse, Jesus is telling the crowd that anyone who welcomes/watches over children is doing the work of God. But, anyone who causes one to stumble (harms) a child, for them, its better if they had a millstone (represents grinding down or pulverizing) hung around they neck (represents the gateway 'chakra' to the 'upper rooms' or heaven) and be thrown into the sea (the sea is many peoples, languages, nations, etc)
