A friend had a savage 22-250 with a fast twist.....IIRC 1-9" and it blew up lighter Hornady and Sierra bullets but the Speer 50 grain TNTs survived nicely..
Right now I'm building a .220 Swift on a 1-12 twist barrel. It's for heavier bullets and if necessary the Speer 50 grain TNT but I'm gamboling that the V-max bullets will make to the target with no issues.

I’ve shot 40 gr ballistic tips out of my 8 twist 22-250 at 4000 FPS & they’ve done fine.
My usual PD load is 55 grainers at 3600. do not understand why you would have a fast twist 22-250 and limit yourself with 55 gr bullets when a 75 gr will shoot flatter increasing your range and easier wind calls. you could have gotten a 1x12 rifle to handle the 55's and your barrel would last longer then a fast twist Not CH, but we still run the 52 grain ELD some from our 8 twist 250’s. The 77 TMK and others are mostly our mainstay, loaded bulk but the 52’s are wicked and there is zero chance of them hitting farm equipment and other expensive items in a woodchuck field. Not saying I shoot anything right in front but I err on the side of caution and out to 300 yards they work well.
