I used to live in Kendrick, Idaho; a small town which, to many, might be called rural. There was a donut shop at the south end of town, called Tiny's. The proprietor (Tiny, who was anything but) made fresh donuts each morning and I got in the habit of stopping to get a couple on my way to work. Fortunately, I was young, worked hard, and got drafted before those donuts could have any real effect on my health. Still kind of miss them though. GD

I"m not that down on it but I'm making plans to leave.

Its a place to make a living. Its not particularly good for anything else.

As I suspected, after the teens came in last night, the box took a pretty serious hit.

I know many communist communities have banned the eviction of non-paying tenants...

But whoever this Deacon fella is... living in your head rent free... he is not real.

Clinically speaking, it does not matter how much you think he is real... or how much you have convinced yourself that he is real... he is not really there.

My donut cravings have been cured since I haven't been able to find a Dunkin' that's not run by Pakistanis.
The local, small town bake shops of my youth have gone extinct in my corner of the world.

You can keep the donuts. There's an Amish bakery near here that makes the best cinnamon buns this side of heaven. Their cookies, pies, breads and cakes are all fabulous too.

Lot of sweat kneaded to make a big cinnamon bun.

The Bowling Alley in Challis, Id. had the world's best donuts. Amazingly they were made from potato flour.

Not a big donut fan but take the G-Kids often. We have a Shipley's also and it's the best donut shop in the area. After the kids fill their orders the lady behind the counter always comps me a small bag of glazed donut holes. More to my liking.

You don't often see the words "bowling alley" and "donuts" in the same sentence. Beer maybe, but not donuts.

As you can see, no two alike. Went over the hill to the small town and had breakfast there and they make baked goods in house. I got a donut to eat on the way home and a turnover for lunch. Wife got a cinnamon bun, was going to just take a bite on the way home, found out it was still warm and ate about 1/2.

We have a donut shop in our little town. Run by an oriental woman and her husband. Rumor is he comes in about 3AM and starts making donuts. She opens up at 5AM and stays until the donuts are all gone.. They have great apple fritters and cinnamon rolls. Good donuts too. She always tired.
