There was another guy there doing the chemical stresser. He didn't look too good. I'm surprised he even lived through it. I think he was too.

Most of the older guys I work with (65+) find the treadmill stress test quite easy, but they are all elk hunters. The couple that are DJT size obese struggle.

My last chemical ST was a breeze.

The treadmill STs have been killers. Thought my heart was going to explode while gasping for air.

Them tech folks are sadistic.

Of the older people (65+) I'm curious about those who say they've done the full test. Did they go completely through stage 7 or was the test stopped once they achieved their 100% heart rate?

Head up, shoulders back and straight ahead, Pard. One day at a time.

I’d bet that’s exactly what you’re doing.

Best to you, cruzer.

That’s the true stress test. Moderate elixirs helps some.

Do the stress test eating a corn dog and report back with the cardiologist comments 😱

Awe hell, no problem. They can do a nuclear stress test where you have to eat greasy food to absorb the contrast... grin

I know someone that went and tore up some Hardees (carl jr) breakfast drive-thru on a morning he was supposed to do a fasting lipid panel

Not a really smart egg. Renegade knows who Im describing.

Anyway, his triglycerides came back like 700+

This was a workplace wellness blood draw. He got extra counseling. Haha.

Years ago when i got mine they kept telling how bad or what i would feel when they put that stuff in.

They were not happy with me because all i could tell them was that it tasted like crap.

And trying to get that snot off after the echo was hard, even had to take two showers before it felt like it was all gone.

Good luck.

I did a cardio stress test once.

I felt fine when I got on the tread mill, and just fine when they pulled me off.

5 days later I had a quadruple by pass.

I still feel fine.

I was scheduled for a nuclear stress test. They injected me with the radiation, told me to go eat some greasy food and come back in an hour for the pretest imaging. Wife and I went to a restaurant where I ordered an omelet, wheat toast with extra butter and a side of bacon. Half way through breakfast the hospital called and said get back ASAP. They wanted to do an echo that morning also and screwed up sending me out for food. Oops... 🤣

They use a drug to get your heart rate up to speed. Really freaks some people out.
