I'm still getting tomatoes, peppers, green beans, corn, butterpeas, okra, squash, and purplehull peas. As a matter of fact, I need to pick the purplehulls again, but wifey says she doesn't want to put up anymore. I've sold a couple of bushels at the produce auction, averaging $35 a bushel. I'll also plant a late crop of cabbage and collards in the high tunnel.

Our garden is just about over with. Peas made great, best we've had in a few years, but everything else fizzled. I'm gonna blame the late planting and hot weather, because we had rains when we needed them. This has been one of the wettest summers that I can remember. We still got watermelons, but that's about all.

Okra and peppers is all that’s still making.

Getting half a Walmart sack of okra ever couple days. Ended up planting it twice, it’s coming in late.

Peas and corn have been bushhogged.

Dang coons got all my field corn i was going to safe for deer season.

Tomatoes, Cucumbers, squash have played out.

Do any of you guys use black plastic to prevent weeds from taking over? We broadcast lime , till it in and then cover the are with construction grade plastic, then we cut a small X in the plastic to set the tomato and pepper plants in then press the cages down to hold the plastic in place.

This works well with plants but it does not lead to good germination with seed plants such as beans and peas, with those we just start in solo cups and trans plant when the time comes.

Miracle grow mixed with water makes it easy to get fertilizer on the plants and makes weeding a whole lot easier .

Volunteer tomatoes are taking over my wife's garden.

Didn't plant till June had snow in April wet in may.
Then the tiller engine seized up so it was late planting.
Got some hot wax peppers coming in along with green tomatoes,okra some beans and peas.

Put some cukes, beets, beans and snow peas in for fall.
Have to get some garlic for planting won't be long.
Got flooded out last year and lost my garlic.
