This is a bit of a biographical look at deaing with casualties from Viet Nam, at a hospital in Japan. Obviously these were seriously injured to be flown to Japan. Many of the problems that had to be dealt with are discussed, more from the injured soldier's view than from the doctor's, and how the injured came to be injured is discussed. One chapter is apparently about a person I have known and whom I respect.
Well worth a read.
