If I didn’t have a half dozen pair of hunting boots, I’d like to try these Thorogoods.

https://www.thorogoodusa.com/product/814-4141/

I wear regular Thorogood Moc Toe daily and love them. When it’s dry I’ll hunt in them.

Danner Pronghorns are comfortable for me, but didn’t hold up but a few years. Toes wore out from walking CRP patches. Chinese.

Dad bought a pair of Danner Shsrptsils last year. Think he likes them. Also chineseium.

I’ve got some older Danner made in USA similar to elk hunters. They’re heavy. But they’ve never leaked. Just too much boot for flat ground. But I still wear them occasionally out there.

Got some Russell Mocasins before Christmas. Old school. Not goretex. Only hunted them twice. Dry both times. But comfortable all day.

Gore-Tex only works if you've got ordinary water and snow in your hunting area. If you've got wetter water or snow in your hunting area such as in Alaska or Idaho you'll need genuine he man leather boots soaked with 100% bees wax or you'll certainly be fuucked with wet feet and probably a twisted ankle. Don't risk it. Ask Sitka Dummy or calldumb. They're the only ones that know what really works if you're dealing with wetter water. Thank me later.

The redwings I have weigh 2lbs per shoe. They seem ok to me. I have some similar Rockies that are gortex but they are much heavier and clunky.

Kmart setters work great in wet grass.

Eastern tenderfeet are funny.

Traded for a pair of Danner Acadias on another gun site a few years back.

Gortex 400 gram thinsulate. Loveem. Haven't let me down.

Snow, rain and mud feet always dry.

Tough sturdy sonsabishes as well.

They are a little narrow so buyem a size wider than normal. Little Heavy though about 5lbs a pair.
