I purchased a pretty good pile of 260 reloading components from a fellow who had sold his rifle. Worked up to a max charge of h4350 with some of his accubonds. Accuracy is unbelievable out of my Ruger MKII. Like one ragged hole at 100yds, however worried that bullet might be a lil hard for 260 velocities. Anyone have any real world experience with that bullet on whitetails leaving the muzzle at around 2850fps

Very good results on deer. My load is the Nosler book max less .2 gr. H4350 130 accubond. Very accurate from my Hart barrelled Tika T3.

My experiences with that exact load has been nothing but good, with animals ranging from small whitetail does to big boar hogs. Very capable and well-rounded in terms of penetration and tissue damage. I’d use it again in a minute.

I ran that bullet when I had my 260. Killed everything from doe antelope to bull elk with it.

I shoot the same bullet out of my Barrett 6.5x55 Swede/47.0 gr RL19/CCI 200 at 2770 FPS and it has literally flattened everything it's hit. Whitetails, 250# pigs, barado sheep and spanish goats die very quickly. Load it up and go kill some schitt!

The accubond performs at various velocities. It is a perfect fit in the .260. I believe the .260 was made for the 130-class of bullets, due to standard mag length. My go-to is the Hornady129 Interlock over Reloder 17, for 2950 fps. Smucks deer.

Interesting. That is the bullet I chose when I rebarreled my Win with a 27 inch PacNor in 264. It easily makes 3300 fps and is plenty accurate for big game and varmints. But I have not blooded it yet.

There are a couple of 260s in the safe. Might need to try the 130 in them, so far they have been fed 120 gr ballistic tips.

All we shoot for deer in a pair of 6.5x47 Lapua's which are a ballistic twin to the 260. I can't envision another bullet doing any better than what we have experienced with them.

My brother shoots a 6.5 creed with the 130gr Accubond and it's a proven deer killer for him. My daughter shoots the Sierra 120gr Pro Hunter in her .260 rem and it's pure deer poison around here as well.

friends shoot them a lot and never a lack of exp. from there 260. silly me I don't shoot anything heaver than 125pt out of mine. usually a 120 bt. if I wonted to shoot 130 gr. I would have bought a 270. 260 is a fine shooter. just wonted to chime in, feel free to not pay attention to me at any time. god bless. D O M I T !

The Nosler 130 Accubond is nearly the perfect bullet for deer in the 260 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor or 6.5x55 Swede in my opinion! I've killed 2 big bucks using that bullet with complete satisfaction and penetration! One was in a Ruger MK/II the other in my Tikka, both 6.5x55 Swedes.

If your 260 likes that bullet, go slay deer and be a happy hunter! BTW, a good shooting Ruger MK/II in 260 is a nearly perfect deer rifle!

I agree, and will add lots of folks run 140-147 for good reason, BC. BUT, do most of those folks shoot far enough to see the benefits? IDK.

A 100 TTSX should be deadly, and LOTS of 120-130 options. The 120 BT was a gold standard in the .225 JDJ for handgunners......it does work well. To me the 130 has a touch more downrange energy, perhaps less wind drift, and will hold together a bit better if one drills both shoulders of a good sized buck. Did that at 100 yds, w/o excess meat damage. Exited. What's not to like?

Re: that 125 Partition, it's a proven choice like the very similar behaving 129 SP. Lots of good choices w/o having to cut powder space...MV when most game is killed this side of 400 yds.

But Domit, no doubt, the little 120s are very capable, and very soft shooting.

I think you will pleasantly surprised with Nosler 130AB I also feel the Nosler 120 BT would serve you well, but since the 130 AB is shooting so well in you rifle I would not mess around with anything else and just go hunting.
