The Weatherby case could be sweet necked up! I’d go 416.

Anyone done it yet? 2300 with a 400?

Looks like Sid lost interest.

I’m feeling lazy Mooner; what would a 400 started at 2300 be doing at 400 yards?

Very little traffic on the parent 6.5 rpm threads so not sure if anyone here has started messing with the rpm based ‘cats. I know earlier in the summer there was a bunch of chatter about a 7 mm rpm over on the LRH board.

400 grain genreric roundnose(BC .307) at 400 yards, 1380fps,. With 150 yard zero it will have 50 inches drop at 400. Expansion iffy past 250 yards, as velocity drops to 1600fps.

400grain Swift A-frame ( BC-.367), , 1500fps, with 150 yard zero it has 46" of drop.

The 500 Nitro Express case sans the big arse rim in favor of the magnum rim (375 H&H, 300 Win Mag etc.) shortened a bit to optimize capacity (a few grains more vs the 416 RUM)

with proper powders, can load a 400 gr bullet up to 2800 fps and down to 2000 fps, basically 416 Wby, 416 Rum down to 416-06 and everything in between like the 416 Rigby, Rem & Ruger

designed for and 100% safe for Win M70 & Rem M700 actions

New factory brass with headstamp made from super strong, hammer forged brass that retains primer pockets for 20 firings at 65k psi, 50 pcs of brass will last a lifetime of hunting
