Good for you, glad to hear that. Allthough not as many cartridges as you, it duplicates my experience.

I used to be cautious about shooting handloads, nowadays I’m leery of factory ammo.

A few years ago in Spain we had a rifle go boom at the third or fouth shot using exactly the same ammo, badly injuring the shooter.
It happened at the shooting range as the guy was zeroing his gunf for a trip to Namibia. I know because the shooter next to him, who assisted him and called the emergency services is avery good friend of mine.
There was some discussion about the case, though it faded quickly, with the rifle manufacturer quickly settling all i$$ues.
Glad that your gun hold up well for you, and looking forward to hear to hear the feedback you get from Remington.

Chamois, feedback is above. They paid for the ammo and gun repairs.
Sounds like I was lucky.

Who knows. Guns are finicky little bastards, considering they are made to channel explosions and all. Friday I let my good friend try his new Ruger carbine in 338 Federal with my handloads using 160 Barness ttsx bullets. The loads work wonderfully in a Savage lever action but they blow primers and lock the bolt up on his Ruger bolt gun. Go figure.

I had a similar experience with Remington 303 British ammo a few years back. They sent me a check for the retail price of two boxes of the same stuff, which more than paid for three boxes of Winchester 303 British ammo at local rates.

If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

Just for giggles pull the bullets on a box of factory ammo...weigh the charges...and...I'm not kidding...
Make note of how many different types of powder you find.
Not to mention any names like Remington but we found 3 types of powder in one box...
