They aren't "re-caps"... They are complete remolds.

Started using them when I was driving lots of miles on bad dirt/gravel roads, and through thorny, rough terrain.

Was getting about 15k miles out a set of 10 ply tires, until I went with Treadwraights. Flats aplenty... Never had a flat after putting on Treadwrights, and usually was the last set of tires I put on a pickup.

They take a HD 10 ply tire, and put on a thick tread and sidewall. Only way to go on a ranch truck.

Run them on the highway much? Wet pavement?
When the Kellys wear out I might give those a whirl.

I ran them all over.

Tried them on advice from a friend who had them.

I had severe duty with my ranch trucks. 80 miles of bad dirt road just to get to the ranch headquarters. Then, everywhere you went, it got worse.

They do okay on the highway, but loud, as MT's are prone to be. Wet was okay too.

They can be different to balance. Follow the instructions sent with the tires, and they balance fine.

Never had a single flat with one. That's saying something, since some 10 ply tires lasted me 10-15k miles, before I got these.

It gives you a certain level of comfort knowing that you share the highways and byways with these rigs in the spring and fall. smile

The #1 thing for farmers like that was “don’t spend any money you don’t have to”, of which my grandpa was famous.
Never used them but would like to try them, Cooper Discoverer STT Pro looks like a good work truck tire.

Yokohama Geolanders or the Coopers you had.

There are no other options.
