IQ is important. It might act as a limiting factor, such as if you are a sub-saharan African and your people can't even invent the wheel, your progress may be seriously bottlenecked.

But it isn't the only factor. An ability to think ahead, a preference for order, brotherhood, ambition, desire to explore the world, a Will to Power....all those things are factors in how well a people perform. Some might be more important IQ or at least just as. For example the Asians likely invented gunpowder in the 10th century and did little more than dabble with its military applications for the next 400 years. The White man was introduced to it, and within 100 years was loading it into cannons on the battlefield.

I'd rather live in 1955,......back before the country got contaminated with so many Bolshevik Billionaires.

A big breakthrough for the Jews was trust. Jews could trust Jews in other countries and therefore do international banking in Europe.
