No great surprise but retiree's across the US have grown sick of Trumps infantile tweeting, compulsive lying and Piss Poor Pandemic response.

The GOP have stood silent behind Trump whilst he belittled and treated everyone with contempt, atleast our respected elders have seen thru his bulsheit and we can bury his fuqing sorry Commie Ass once and for all !!

Most want their savings and buying power to be erased by socialism and poor trade deals. Seniors want less medical care, more taxes, and higher crime.
I don't think they hate tweets, they hate stability, anarchy is the future.

Media Bias / Fact Check --- VOX

Quote

LEFT BIAS

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy.

Overall, we rate Vox Left Biased due to wording and story selection that routinely favors the left. We also rate them Mostly Factual in reporting, rather than High, due to two failed fact checks, with only one offering a correction.

AllSides / Media Bias --- Vox

Quote

Vox media bias rating is Left.

Vox has a Left media bias. In Sept. 2018, the AllSides team conducted an extensive editorial review and decided to shift Vox from a Lean Left to a Left media bias rating.

The AllSides team found that Vox consistently writes favorably about Left-leaning policies and never includes a Right-leaning perspective. Articles on Vox.com have tied President Trump to fascism, and its "Explainers" section almost never includes Right-leaning opinions or viewpoints. Vox's Explainers provide only one side of an issue, making it seem as if the information provided is all readers need to know, when in reality, Right-leaning individuals would likely include other facts or make different points about the topic. This prevents readers from getting a holistic understanding of the highlighted issues.

AllSides notes that Vox often frames news and issues as if the Left perspective is the only perspective, and its hard news articles include commentary that is subjective in nature. Vox often blurs the line between news and editorial. One AllSides team member noted Vox "seems like advocacy outlet for the Democratic Party, showing all the "news" you'd like to hear as a Democrat."

...More About Vox.com

Vox.com was founded in 2014 by Ezra Klein, a liberal columnist from the left-leaning Washington Post, along with Melissa Bell and Matt Yglesias. Run by the digital media company Vox Media, Vox.com currently has eight editorial brands including the sports website SB Nation and the technology news website The Verge.

In founding Vox, Klein said he hoped to “improve the technology of news” and build an online platform better equipped for making news understandable. Vox.com, therefore, aims to “explain the news” rather than simply report it — a practice some conservatives say inherently leaves out opposing viewpoints and differing perspectives. For example, the Washington Times and conservative media watchdog groups have heavily criticized Vox.com’s liberal bias. Additionally, the Week and The Federalist accused the website of a progressive worldview.
Vox's anti-Trump reporting during and after the 2016 election also garnered criticism.

New poll shows Trump leading Biden for Florida's seniors

Quote

THE VILLAGES, Fla. —

In the tightly-contested presidential race in Florida, a new poll of senior voters is giving the edge to President Donald Trump over Joe Biden.

As the most reliable voting bloc, more than 70% of voters 65 and older cast ballots four years ago. History has been kind to Republican candidates among seniors.

President Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton by seven points in 2016 among 65+ voters.

A big chunk of that victory came from the Republican rich community, The Villages.

Al Gore was the last Democrat to win the 50+ vote back in 2000, in a losing match-up with George W. Bush.

An election during a pandemic just may be the game-changer.

“The reality is it's a very diverse population that are 50 and older,” Jeff Johnson said.

Johnson is Florida Director for AARP, which has just released a new Florida poll.

It shows that in the presidential race in Florida, all 50+ seniors favor President Trump over Joe Biden, 50% to 47%.

The president has a bigger advantage among seniors 50 to 64, 52% to 45%, but the oldest, 65+, favor Biden, 49% to 48%.

“For many people the assumption has been that older voters tend to vote more conservatively, we've seen a little bit of change in that this go around,” Johnson said.

AARP credits the shift among the oldest voters to Biden to coronavirus. The poll shows one in four senior voters know someone who has died from COVID-19.

The poll also shows half of Democrats plan to vote-by-mail because of the pandemic, while just two in 10 Republicans will vote by mail, citing fraud concerns raised by the president and fearing the Postal Service won't deliver all ballots.
