There are now more albums sold on vinyl than on cd (which is, admittedly a small fraction of digital music sold). The richness of vinyl is still preferred by audiophiles, and will remain their preferred audio source until an improved digital format like FLAC becomes widely available.

Sloan and Harding are poseurs - their position is not developed on the basis of the music, musical events, or musical effects. What they provided is a weak case for some sort of social distress - and they try to use one of the preeminent musicians of all time in an attempt to get themselves noticed. It will not work. This bogus narrative is DOA. Next bizarre ploy?

My question is what should I do with about a hundred pounds of 33 1/3 records of classical music? Step-dad and mom were big fans and while I like to listen to it once in a while, I don’t have a record player. Now there are about five milk crates full of records down my basement that need a good home. Vinyl is hot again. You better see what's there, some of it could be worth a pretty penny.
