Hell no, my dad would have beat my azz.
I should add that while I was a pretty good kid I remember in 2nd or 3rd grade in Catholic school one day my teacher had me in the bathroom lifted up by the throat and pushed against the wall screaming at me. Don't remember what I did though. My biggest fear was that he'd call my mother and my dad would have done twice what he did to me.
Big part of what's wrong with kids today IMO . No suspensions or expulsions but once in the first grade after a fight (might have been about a certain blue eyed blond) I was forced to kneel holding up 2 thick dictionaries one in each hand above my head while the teacher was using a sharp pencil to poke my head telling that this was what the crown of thorns felt like on Christ's head, crystal clear memory. Even at that early age I wrote very small and didn't use a #2 pencil, I used a #3 hard lead which I used to poke the kid in the ribs, no serious damage done but had to be shown the error of my sinful ways. Have to agree on this - now a days seldom are there serious consequence for bad behavior. This, beating at home were far worse than beating at school. I often had notes stapled to the collar of my shirt to make sure that my parents got them then I got it at home. Must say it must have worked, grown to be a pretty straight tree with no trouble with the law or anyone I suppose. I was given a pass....mom let me off the hook for that one. Because I stuck up for the kids that got pushed around.... I fu cking crushed that guy🤗 My 150 lb as s smoked him..... hospital type crushed him🤗 He deserved it. Especially after bullying young kids...... He picked the wrong kid that day.

No. Only got in trouble once, not for starting a fight, but for ending one. Teacher didn't see it that way. One week of after-school detention.

Wabigoon: I earned "move of the week" from the "cool clique" (and a three day suspension!) for my bringing and igniting a "cherry bomb" in the hallway of my high school my senior year.
It was LOUD and scaredt everybody - class was in session and then the school was evacuated.
Dumb move though on my part and I deserved the punishment.
Should have put it down a toilet as was my initial plan.

No, but I got the long wooden paddle one time, in 6th grade. Only once? I held the school record for swats in the 6th grade, 13 that year. Arizona schools were OK with corporal punishment back in the 60's. Never got expelled or suspended though; just whacked and back to your desk. Most of the time, I was a good kid/student. Went to school in 9 different towns in WA, ID and MT from K-12, so seems like I was always the 'new kid'. Things often got sporty at home, and school was a place to relax a bit.

I attended all boys Catholic school for 4 years of high school,my school bus stopped at the all girls Catholic H.S. every morning and afternoon.one afternoon when we pulled up to the girls school,i mooned a bunch of girls i knew.Head nun saw it,called my school with the bus # i got pulled off my bus next morning by my ear and they laid a rightous beating on me for "exposing" myself to "Christian young ladies",3 days suspended. But that was nothing compared to the [bleep] that hit me for wearing a "Judas Priest",,, british steel ,,button on my uniform.or the black feather earring,or having to stand infront of the attendance office and shave while everyone came to school first thing in the morning.

Worse than being expelled or suspended: the mean teachers made me stay after school, and did so more than once. You would think that once would have been enough, for them and for me, but I guess all of us were stubborn. 
The biggest problem our country has is not systemic racism, it's systemic stupidity.

Yearly senior prank at the schools my daughters attended was to find the nastiest roadkill and hide it above the ceiling tiles in the hallway. This was done Friday afternoon after school was dismissed, that way it had the entire weekend to totally stink up most of the entire floor. Drove the janitorial staff nuts !
